They've only gone and bloody called him British.
The one thing that's guaranteed to attract the ire of many an Irish person on Twitter is referring to one of our own as British - as the person in charge of the Huffington Post's social media accounts has found out over the last 24 hours.
Here's the Tweet that did the damage:
#BRITSBLITZ: From @MumfordAndSons to @Hozier, the quiet Brits SMASHING it overseas... http://t.co/un2WkcPVUi pic.twitter.com/8lcGA35P44
— HuffPost UK Ent (@HuffPostUKEnt) June 24, 2015
The reaction was, as always, completely over the top.

@HuffPostUKEnt Sorry but @Hozier is Irish, as you well know. Would you claim German, French, Canadian artists as yours too?! #BRITSBLITZ

@HuffPostUKEnt @Hozier All of Ireland, from our wartime leader Winston Churchill to our world F1 champion Lewis Hamilton, do not like this
— Rob Healy (@RhealyCreepy) June 25, 2015
@HuffPostUKEnt You wouldn't include a Dutch or French artist in a 'Best Brits' list, why include someone that is Irish?
— Brian Kelly (@briant_kelly) June 25, 2015
Won't somebody please think of the 800 years of oppression!?
Anyhow, The Huff Po Po have come out now and apologised for the whole debacle.
Let's move on in life.
