Jeremy Clarkson Has Finally Given His View On His Top Gear Exit

Former Top Gear host Jeremy Clarkson told Chris Evans this morning that his Top Gear exit 'was my own silly fault, so I could hardly complain.'

Clarkson joined Evans on his BBC Radio 2 breakfast show to promote the start of a world tour featuring himself, James May and Richard Hammond, which kicks off today in Belfast and it's similar to Top Gear in all but name.

Despite the fact that it seems he has landed on his feet, and obviously looking forward to the tour, Clarkson admitted to Evans that he was  left with a 'huge hole' in his life when his involvement with Top Gear came to an end:

[The show was} very much my baby, I absolutely adored it. I worked all through the night and paid attention to every tiny bit.

And then suddenly you are not asked to do that any more... I was very sad.

When asked about a possible future TV show for the trio he told Evans 'Honestly Chris, I have absolutely no idea.' He did state that he has no ill-feelings towards the BBC, saying:

There are some dreadful people in it, but there are also some really talented, brilliant people. I will never complain about it.
