Just when we thought that JK Rowling had finished with Harry Potter it appears things are still happening. After the phenomenon that was the seven books turned in to eight movies that made an insane amount of money around the muggle world, Rowling took to twitter to excite Potter fans everywhere:
I'm also very excited to confirm today that a new play called Harry Potter and the #CursedChild will be opening in London next year.

Rowling went on to tweet that Cursed Child is not a prequel, but it will tell an untold story in relation to Harry.
Which really asks more questions than it answers. Rowling though, did want to confirm that it won't be a novel, but a play and people will understand when they see it.
To answer one inevitable (and reasonable!) question - why isn't #CursedChild a new novel? - I am confident that when audiences see the play
