England's Prince Harry has been made a Knight Commander of the Royal Victorian Order (KCVO) at a private ceremony in Buckingham Palace.
The award was given to him after 10 years of service with the British Army, and the official reason was for "services to the sovereign".
Although not everyone was convinced. Perhaps it's because Prince Harry was knighted by his grandmother, but the witty folk on twitter had plenty of hot-takes about the knighthood.
Sidenote: Is it now Sir Harry, or Sir Prince Harry?
If I was Prince Harry, I'd rather have not been knighted by The Queen. Would be like having "The handsomest boy ever - Mum" on your CV.

In one nation Britain #princeharry is knighted by his Nan while outside their window the nation smoulders from the fire of tory austerity

Prince Harry has been given a knighthood by the Queen. My Gran used to give me a bar of tablet.

How on Earth did Prince Harry get a knighthood for being good to his granny? You're supposed to be good to your granny anyway.
