The teaser trailer was released today for 'A Deadly Adoption' which is set to air on the lifetime network on June 29th. Will Ferrell and Kristen Wiig are set to star and it is unlike anything we have come to expect from two of Hollywood's go-to comedy actors. The trailer is only 20 seconds long, so doesn't give much away but it is enough to show that it is a major departure from Will Ferrell's usual comic buffoonery.
The news that the Ferrel and Wiig were starring in a Lifetime TV movie was initially taken as a joke. But as the trailer suggests the film is no joke. Ferrell can be seen sporting a beard and involved in a tense stand off with a speeding car. The pure ridiculousness of it all can't help but make us wonder if is satirical. It joins the list of other Lifetime tv movie titles that include: The Haunting of Sorority Row, To Be Fat Like Me and Live Once, Die Twice.
