It featured at no.14 in our 50 Things Irish Culchies Feckin' Love post towards the end of last year, and it now has its own deserved, sub-cultural anthem.
And a worthy one at that.
Take a bow, Oliver Conlon, for your lyrically exquisite, catchy-as-fuck tribute to the Toyota Corolla Twincam:
The Dungannon native has penned the ultimate tune to accompany any man, woman or child's journey in Japan's iconic AE86 coupé, incorporating everything from its typical owner's love for doing doughnuts to their legendary battles with feckin' rust.
Conlon says the song is "a tribute to one of Ireland's best loved cars, the Toyota Corolla GT Coupe (AE86), aka "the Twincam".
I felt that a car which has gained such a legendary status as the Twincam was deserving of a song in it's honour. This is my first song and I hope you enjoy it!
Well, enjoy it we did, Oliver.

Big thanks to Oliver for sending this our way.
