Poll: Was Alan Rickman A Bigger Prick In Die Hard Or Love Actually?

No matter where you turn on the internet, radio or tv today it seems someone is either talking about Die Hard or Love Actually - two of the biggest Christmas films ever made.

In truth, there was no need for Die Hard to be a Christmas film really but death to any person who dares suggest it isn't. Anyhow, let's not get lost down that wormhole today. What I'm here to talk about is Dev himself, Mr Alan Rickman.

Alan holds the record for being the only actor to star in both these seasonal favourites and his character is perhaps equally villainous in both. I mean sure, Hans Gruber killed a load of people but Harry broke poor Emma Thompson's heart in Love Actually.

Consider this, for all his downsides Gruber seemed to have a bit wit about him. You could go for a pint with the lad, provided he promised to leave the machine guns at home. However, Harry had no upside. Harry was a gobshite. But then again a gobshite who didn't take the Nakatomi Plaza hostage and kill that lovely Japanese man.
