The Sliced Pan Recommends... 4 Of The Best TV Shows To Watch Over Christmas

Renowned biscuit assassin Mark Farrelly and famed bog-snorkelling critic Gavan Casey pick up where they left documentaries off yesterday, and bring you the four tv shows they believe you should start (and complete) watching over the Christmas period.

Sit back, relax, and let the dulcet, sultry tones of both Cavanian and Corkonian nature ease you into the festive season with some top-notch recommendations:

Here are the lads' picks in written form:

4) Master Of None

Written by Aziz Ansari and Alan Yang, Netflix sitcom Master of None stars Ansari himself in the lead role of Dev, a 32-year-old actor who attempts to make his way through life in New York City.

Gavan mentions Ansari's New York Times article in the podcast, and it's well worth checking out.

3) Mr. Robot

A psychological thriller from the same people who brought us Suits? Get all over this while there's still only one season of it.

2) Deutschland 83

Deutschland 83 is an eight-episode German television series starring Jonas Nay as a 24-year-old native of East Germany who in 1983 is sent to the West as an undercover spy for the Stasi. It has just began to air on RTÉ so set your reminders and lap it up.

1) Catastrophe

The BBC turned down Sharon Horgan and Rob Delaney's Catastrophe after reading the script. Both incredibly funny seasons are now on Channel 4's 'All 4' service, totally free, and the BBC are idiots.

In fact, we liked Catastrophe so much we wrote our own review about it...
