You couldn't get more Irish if you tried.
Ireland's oldest fair, The Puck Fair, celebrating over 400 years took place this Monday-Wednesday in Killorglin, Co. Kerry and revellers enjoyed horse and cattle fairs, street shows, a bonny baby competition and fireworks display to name but a few events.
As is the nature of fairs across the country, people like to enjoy themselves and for the adults that can often mean a few alcoholic beverages in one of the pubs nearby, however one man had such a good time he didn't even notice his false teeth were missing. The search was on to find the owner of the teeth before he was reached just as he left the pub.
Speaking on Radio Kerry yesterday, Irwin Kingston from Kingston's bar explained how staff were cleaning up at the end of the night when one member of staff asked for a glove to pick up an unusual item he had found in the toilet.
Towards the end of the night we had started our clean up, a staff member came out and said 'Can I have a glove' he said 'You'll never guess what I'm after finding in the toilet'... right beside a urinal... he found a set of false teeth.
One man who was last to leave was recognised by one of the staff members who knew he had false teeth so they asked him if he still had his teeth and he said he did before sticking his finger in his mouth and realising he didn't so after a quick rinse in a glass of water he popped them back in his mouth and away he went as happy as Larry.
