Given the day where it looks like Ireland will officially become the first country to allow same sex marriage by popular vote, there are stories of close calls around the country like in Donegal where the referendum was passed by less than 40 votes.
On one small island off the coast of Mayo, twelve people voted in the referendum, with the results being ten yes votes to two no votes. This has lead to this wonderful wiki edit.
