Legendary best friends Sirs Ian McKellen and Patrick Stewart have added a third musketeer to their famed posse.
In case you haven't seen it, McKellen has been busy promoting his new film Mr. Holmes in the last couple of days, and on Wednesday found himself in dangerous territory; reciting Taylor Swift song lyrics in poem-form. True to form, McKellen made it sound, dare I say it, strangely beautiful:
His buddy Patrick Stewart (who's actually bloody hilarious on Twitter, and well worth a follow) chimed in with his own Soundcloud recording, and a small request for Tay:
So @IanMcKellen recited Bad Blood and I did Blank Space on @NPRAskMeAnother. May we join the squad, @taylorswift13? https://t.co/liKBfSzIaU

To which the 'Shake it Off' superstar replied in classic Common White Girl style - with a photo montage and a reference to 'goals.' Ah, I'm being harsh. This is pretty sound:
Thanks for reciting my lyrics, @IanMcKellen and @SirPatStew! You've made my day. You two are ULTIMATE Squad Goals: pic.twitter.com/pJZY6T5Lq8

I particularly enjoyed watching how the new friendship blossomed on Google News:
