Ed Sheeran's performance to 80,000-odd Irish fans at Croke Park last month is set to feature in the third instalment of the Bridget Jones franchise.
The Sun in the UK reports that a scene for Bridget Jones' Baby was shot in the midst of the capacity audience at GAA HQ, with a stunt double subbing in for Reneé Zellweger on another character's shoulders.
A source told The Sun:
There was no risk in filming Renée at a busy gig. But they knew the cat would be out the bag the minute people saw her at the show.
Renée's body double and the cameramen were in and out of the crowd as quickly as possible.
These are the first moments in early filming for the new movie. None of the show’s main talent have been involved yet.
Hugh Grant, for what it's worth, has not been involved at all - nor will he be - which you'd imagine slightly narrows down the field of candidates to be the father of Bridget's baby.
Grant and several other actors took issue with the quality of the original script, but given that it was re-written last year by none other than legendary British actress Emma Thompson, the third Bridget flick should be in safe hands when it begins shooting this Autumn.
