It is a devastating story that has touched people across Ireland and Scotland, that of the murder of Cork student, Karen Buckley in Glasgow in April.
Since her murder, her family have received an endless outpouring of support from well-wishers both from at home and from Scotland showing the good nature and kindness of people in a time of tragedy, with her family thanking those who have showed support and sympathy throughout their whole ordeal.
Alexander Pacteau has today pleaded guilty to murdering Karen and the judge, Lady Rae has sought to defer sentencing until September 8th.
Today her family released a touching photo of Karen's room filled with hundreds of cards from well wishers.

It's a heartbreaking image but hopefully the cards and notes have and will continue to provide some comfort to her family in what is a time of great sadness.
