Former Taoiseach Brian Cowen has told the banking inquiry that he takes complete responsibility for his role and response to Ireland's economic crisis. Naturally, the sheer sight of Cowen alone was enough for things got pretty feisty both in the House of the Oireachteas and online.
However, the most widespread outrage doesn't actually involve Fianna Fáil, the banks or Ireland's economic decline, but something more tangible and ovular (don't you dare), which caused a right scramble over on Twitter...

Watching Brian Cowen at #bankinginquiry I can't help but wonder where this confident, communicative, clever guy was when we needed a leader.
