Some of us struggle to walk to the bus but this 101 -year-old woman is putting us all to shame and showing no fear after breaking her own world record for the oldest abseiler.

Doris Long, nicknamed 'Daring Doris' who was honored with an MBE for her charity fundraising, was not put off by the wind and rain as she descended down the side of the Spinnaker Tower in Portsmouth. Her last attempt at the feat was on her 100th birthday in May 2014 after first abseiling at the age of 85.

Afterwards she said:

It was very hard work, much harder than last year. It was so windy, I swung about a bit, but, oh yes, I enjoyed it, I feel it’s well worth it. My legs ache like anything and my right arm, where I hold the rope, and my hair is all sticking out.

If all we were worried about was our hair sticking out we'd be doing well. Fair play Doris.
