Johnny Depp has always struck me as a deeply weird man, but he's a damn good egg.
The Pirates of the Caribbean star is in the Sunshine State of Queensland filming for the latest instalment in the Pirates franchise, Dead Men Tell No Tales, but took some time off shooting to visit sick kids in a local children's hospital. And you better believe he went dressed as Jack Sparrow.
The kids at Brisbane’s Lady Cilento Children’s Hospital got the surprise of their lives as the lovably roguish Sparrow bounced in the door for chats and photographs.
Here he is pulling some crazy-ass faces with seven-year-old Max:

The 52-year-old is a regular guest at children's hospitals, and once admitted that even during his time off he travels with a Jack Sparrow costume for impromptu visits.
But for the kids of Lady Cilento Children's Hospital, they will always remember this as the day the caught Jack Sparrow.
